Vintage Picture Ornaments

This year was difficult to think of good gift ideas for the parentals.  So I contacted my mom's brother, and my dad's sister and got them to send me some old photographs from their childhood.  I then used those photos to create Christmas ornaments.

Materials:
small wood plaques
acrylic paint
photograps
modge podge
paint brushes
drop cloth/newspaper
staple gun/hot glue gun
ribbon
I found these little wood plaque guys at Hobby Lobby.

I chose a pearly white and silver paint.

I then created stencils to cut out the pictures to the correct size and shape.

I trimmed each photo to fit on its corresponding ornament and then used modge podge to seal the pictures to them.

I finished the ornaments by attaching ribbon to the backs of the ornaments using a staple gun.  A hot glue gun could also work for this.
