A Dream Come True

This past Tuesday marks the best Tuesday night I've ever had!  It was a really rough day at work and I came home to my great friend, Ineke and a table full of Thai House yummyness.  I changed clothes and looked up directions to the church we were going to in Peoria, and it hit me.  I was going to see JJ Heller!  JJ Heller, my absolute favorite artist.  I felt like a giddy teenager realizing I was getting to have a little dream of mine come true.

We got to the church and surprisingly there were not a lot of people there.  We were about 45 minutes early but still.  We parked ourselves in the front row.  The place quickly began to fill up and there ended up being a row of chairs placed in front of me.  Oh well.  The pastor got up, prayed and introduced the Hellers.  Dave and JJ walked right past me onto the stage and all I could think was "Wow, that's JJ Heller!  Right in front of me!"  Despite having a cold and not much of a speaking voice, the music was incredible.  I was amazed and yet not surprised that even with "no voice" the girl still sang so beautifully.  Her music has always been a bit of a lifeline for me, especially in the past few months when things have been pretty tough and stressful.  I felt so grateful and blessed to be sitting there and having that little dream of seeing her in concert come true.

After the concert ended there was a line to get cds or posters signed.  I then got the other big wish granted.  I not only got my favorite cd and a t-shirt signed, but I got meet JJ and Dave and take a picture with them!  It really was just an amazing night that ended with Ineke and I having a late dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Driving home I felt so joyful and blessed.
