Girly Fun

Ok, so I swear this is the last post for a couple days.  My friend Rebecca loved her Walk, Live, Free pillows so much that I decided to do something girly for her 3 year old daughter.  I decided to be ambitious and try to do a trim on it.  I think it turned out really cute.
Here is the front.  Again, I used steam-a-seam to attach the umbrella and letters.  I usually print out the letters on the computer, cut them out, pin them to the fabric and the s.a.s. Then I cut them out together so they look even.  I free handed this umbrella by turning the fabric over and using chalk.

Here is my first attempt at a trim.  I took plain pink fabric and pinned it to the front side of this piece of fabric.  I pleated the trim as I pinned it.  Once I stitched the trim in place with my machine, I could then pin the front piece of the pillow to this piece, inside out.  Once I stitched the front and back together, I could then flip the pillow case right side out and stuff it!

Finished!!!  Can't wait to give it to her!
